Displaying "fu" Character On Outside Of House Door Facing Neighbour's Door

Recommended Posts

Hi

I am displaying a fragrant wood carving of the Chinese character "Fu" on the exterior part of my house door, which faces the door of my neighbour.

I am wondering by doing so, will the "Fu" benefit my neighbour, since the "Fu" is facing him all the time - he sees it the moment he step out of his house, or will the "Fu" benefit me, since it is on my door (but I only see it when I come home).

I would appreciate it very much if you could help advise me on this.

Thank you.

Personally, i feel its ok, although i'm just a nobody.

As you are displaying it at your entrance, you are 'welcoming' the "FU" to your premises.

For all we know, you may even be attracting / absorbing your neighbour's 'FU' into your house... :paint:

Therefore, i feel that you should not be so overly concerned with who's the beneficiary, as you've already benefitted from it.

Reasons for saying this, I'm sure you've felt good after looking through the house and think that the most appropriate place to display the 'FU' is at your entrance. :horse:

Hi

According to a few masters whom I've consulted before all say the same thing for similar case. Your neighbour will benefit from seeing this.

Thanks to all of you for your comments.

Ivy1981 - I also feel that way too, which is why I posted this here to seek advice. Since I placed my "Fu" outside my door, I have not been having much good luck. I think I better take it back into my house again. Thanks for your timely advice again.
