hihi just want to share my unpleasant experience with them.

I have requested quote from IDnote at end January 2011 but henry asked me to contact him after CNY around mid february as he was quite busy. I accepted and waited till mid feb and called him up again, finally my drawings was sent to him through email. He took 1 whole freaking month to reply me with the quotations through email. Immediately after receiving the quotation in March, I arranged a meeting up at his office for further discussions on my quotes. LESS than 3 days after meeting him, he rejected taking up my job through email as he claimed he is overload with current projects. My house is only ready in may-june which is 2-3 months away so this excuse is totally bull****.. I might be a difficult customer to him asking for specific request for reno but I think it is definitely normal as it is my future home~! Worst still, when I met him at the office, he was totally unawared what I want for my house as everthing is handle by his lady colleague.

Just to warn all forum people, he is obviously choosing his customers which can give him the easiest work and allows him to earn the most profit as he have many clients to choose from. He will easily reject to take up your house reno once he found a easier target. He is popular here in forum as I know there is someone here giving free advertising for him constantly.

I have wasted 1.5 months due to his unprofessionalism, but it think it is a blessing in disguise.. I'm sure there are better contractors out there, if possible, give him a miss.. =)

Could someone PM me Henry's contact please.

Thank you =)

hey bro, sorry to hear about your experience. but i'm sure you have been talking to many other contractors and IDs while waiting for Henry's quote, and you will be able to move on immediately if Henry's response is too slow for you, rite?

there could be many reason why he told you he can't take your job anymore within that 3 days. maybe there are other customers that signed contract with him in these 3 days so he won't be able to take your job anymore? you also can't expect him to put other customers on hold just to wait and see if you will confirm with him, rite? hey i don't really want to sound like i'm defending him, but i just hope to provide a different perspective here.

i won't say we are here providing free advertisements for him. Pple like me, Supersimon, and other bros and sis in RT who had good experience with Henry are just here sharing his contact. it's up to individual to contact him and judge whether they want to take him up for their renovation.

Sometimes, some pple just "click" with certain renovators, some pple just don't. So you have also seen many cases in RT, when some are extremely satisfied with a certain renovator while some are not. In the end, it's up to individual to do proper research, do their own judgement, and choose wisely based on their needs and budget.

during my own reno, i talked to some 20 different contractors and IDs, only 8 have replied. Some got back within 3 days, 3 weeks, even 3 months. i understand it's frustrating to wait for so long, but this is a process that many here have gone through.

Hope you can find "the special one" for your reno soon ;)

Haha marshmallow, okay maybe im not clear enough.

Firstly my reno is many months away, he have more than enough time to do planning and preparation.

Secondly he rejected me after I met him at his office in less than 3 days thru email.

Lastly, he can reject me straight away 1.5 months ago if he is busy, and not kept me waiting for his quotations. (I'm getting my keys in June and he is definitely aware of it, it means from now till June he cannot take up any work as he is "busy with current workload" as stated in his email).

I have high hopes for him initially due to the advertise from you guys in forum, reasonable quote, good reliable contractor.. bla.. bla... that kept me waiting for him. I don't know if there is anyone similar like me who experience the same scenario, good for you if you like his work and attitude but that might be in the past. What I have mention in this 2 posts is nothing but the truth happened just weeks ago. Anyway I have move on, he don't deserve my precious time anymore, so good luck to anyone who is waiting quotation from him.. haha =P

hahaha you know, when i called Mr Yeak in end Feb, he was already fully booked till July :jawdrop: and when i called Henry also in end Feb, and eventually confirmed contract in March, mine was the last slot available for June renovation. so what you experience actually usually happen to popular contractors, need to book some 3~4 months in advance. like popular hotels for wedding, also need to book much earlier in advance

if i remember correctly, someone earlier on already advised you to look for other contractors since Henry is busy. Anyway, if the contractor is not confident to take up your job and reject you, isn't it better for you, than one that just take on more jobs than he can and in the end cannot deliver?

In any case, keep on looking, and all the best to your reno~ :yamseng:

Hope you find a contractor that suit u soon :)

I'm glad that he reject yr project . It's better for him to reject you even before started then to Delay you after started .

A lot of reason for the rejection . Time , location , work load, supply , etc etc

Just hope u understand
