Glass Sliding Door

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I wanted a 10mm thick glass sliding door. However, I understand from a glass contractor that there is only 8mm thick glass sliding door. Is this true?

I am afraid that if it is too thin, it might break when someone knock into it.

Help!

the std thickness for tempered glass doors are 10mm, if i am not wrong; this is the min.

there are those who choose 12mm for higher doors; but they are much heavier.

there are many useful threads in this forum on the various aspects of reno - i also got to know the above fm my daily reading :)

Hi,

The optimal thickness is 10mm and the glass criteria must be tempered.

Its was to ensure safety for the users especially the height was built to at least 2.1m.

Cheers.
