how much was it to have them install the kitchen? speed of construction is amazing.

but what impressed me was the coloured interiors... not the usual white PVC interiors most carpentry comes with

The protective cover on the laminates are not removed yet. The granite top will be installed next week, with the hob and sink.

both of u seem to be super hands-on on the stuff in your house it will def create a stronger sense of belonging.

btw, is tt formica laminate u used for your kitchen? is it exp?

Yup, we have a tendancy to be hands-on, but it's also wanting to cut costs in areas which are possible. It does makes us treasure the place more I guess.

The place should be more or less ready by end of next week!

Yes, it's Formica laminates! The 2mm thick high gloss one. It is more costly than the usual type. I think you can actually request for that from your contractor and you may need to top up the cost depending on your contractor. We engaged Classic Furniture which is a kitchen specialist and they solely use Formica Laminates for their kitchens, hence it comes at a premium price too.

Different meh? Maybe you have mistaken the corrugated paper floor protection for the floor tiles!

Yesterday was a busy day. There was so many things going on in the house. The workers from Classic came, then the oven from Teka and finally the hob, hood and microwave from Happiness. The whole house was bustling with life! Excellent services from all of them

Teka called the night before informing me that the model I ordered is eh... damaged in the warehouse. In fact, all of remaining sets are slightly damaged! So what they offered to do is give me another model which is slightly better at no extra cost. At first, I was quite miffed about it since I really like the model I bought. But after some consideration, I thought that this was actually a blessing because I was getting a more expensive oven with better features!

TuaBaby and I also painted our room. Had to be really careful since the parquet has already been polished. Yesterday, I think we accomplished quite a bit of painting though we were slowed down a little in the morning with the initial buzz. Now, we are looking forward to Sat and Sun where we will paint our feature wall. Workout time for us!

Now I'm waiting in anticipation for our wardrobe and shoe cabinet to be in.
