merryman 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2009 Hi skymars, I don't have the layout plan but just some 3D drawings. Not much changes to the layout just carpentry. Shoe Cabinet Feature Wall Dining Area Wardrobe Her 3D drawings look great, too bad I'm underutilising her services in terms of 3D drawings and designing as we are going on a tight budget and also not keen to spend too much on a 32 years old unit.. takomi 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2009 Hi Takomi, Nice 3Ds design. I was looking forward to your reno so that I can show my mum how their house can transform 'modernly'. Heehee.. personally I thought its quite tough to design for this layout after staying in it for like 20+yrs. The big challenge with this layout is probably the living room as it is not big enough to accomodate the dinning table and quite exposed to the outside through the main door. My mum ever thought of building the shoe cabinet as a 'partition' to the outside but then the space behind the partition is very tight. I see that your id had the same idea and infact she incorporated the tv console with it as well. Seems good and neat. But i wonder where will your scv box be? My parent's svc box is on the wall directly opposite the entrance, at the corner near the window. The good pt about this layout is the big and longish kitchen. Hee.. very for those who loves cooking. Is your dining table in the kitchen? From your 3Ds, I am guessing that you 'divided' the kitchen into 2 portion using the glass door? Ya, I don't like being expose outside too with the main door open. And had been troubling where to place the tv in the first place when keys not taken yet. But after looked at the house with ID, we think it wide enough to build the shoe cabinet as partition (Hopefully). But of cousre must compromise with a smaller sofa cos of the walk space. And I must praise Lynn for incoporate the tv console and help me save costs on it. My original Scv is at the same location as your mum, but I install a new one near the feature wall. As for the kitchen, will be divide it into half and raise the floor for the dining area to make it part of the living room.

But will the block washing by the town council splash to the laminate. Is there any steps at your doorstep? I know pinklady complaining about that.
Pinklady 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2009 But will the block washing by the town council splash to the laminate. Is there any steps at your doorstep? I know pinklady complaining about that. i can tell you confirm Yes Yes Yes, it will splash becoz for my case, my main wooden door, last time is too big. My ID suggested to trim a little bit to cover the area where door meets the laminate. You can take precautions. now i am trying to use some cloth to cover that small little gap area. Btw, what brand of laminate are you using?
