blackcar 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2009 Hi My walls have been plastered again and painted over since the cracks appeared. Now the cracks appear again. Can anyone help advise? Thanks First, u need to "deepen" the crack line area. Then take a brush, brush off the dust etc. Use a damp cloth wipe the entire crack line area. Buy better quality sealant for the patching up. If it is big crack, u cant patch it at one go. U needs to do it bit by bit for it to dry up or hardening, if necessary patch abit day by day. Btw where is the crack area? Is it a contraction joint? A contract joint usually found in those prefabraction housing. This contraction joint purpose is to allows the wall to "breathe". Most of the time, owner will ask the contractor to patch it up but it will still cracks. If this is the joint area u r talking abt, cant be helped!!!
