Curved Platform (is It Possible?)

Recommended Posts

Hi all, i've just got my new 4-roomed flat. Currently thinking of theme & design for the home & part of it includes a rised platform/floor at livingroom area for TV+sofa but wanted a curved rised floor, is it possible? Also is it possible to have a curved flooring of marble+stone/pebbles. Anyone can advise on this :D

Sure it is possible, but cost more because more. Check out your floor to ceiling height too, if you are planning a raised floor and a false ceiling, it may become too low for comfort.

Haha, thanks for the replies. Really headache to self design, so would leave it to ID better. Anyone have experience with Alvin Lee of A&D?

Not really costly as mentioned by the folks out here. The cost is mostly because of the bending plywood which is used to make the curved profile, the labour/worksmanship, the solid timber beading used on the edge. I know because i am in the carpentry trade =)

Too extravagant to use marble for raised flooring...not advisable.
