Lightning Arrestor System

Hi guys,

I'm having an A&A project now for my corner terrace and am considering installing a lightning arrestor. Can i find out what is the market rate for the installation of a lightning arrestor and does it require submission to the relevant authorities? Appreciate any advice on this.

If u are redoing your roof, u do not have a choice. U must install if not, no CSC. This is under the scope of the electrician, and the cost will depend on the the design of the roof.

In Sg, lightning is serious. I have a large curved metal roof, and get zapped a few times a year, triggering the ELCBs.

Thanks. Do you know what is the rough cost for such installation? I was quoted $5k plus for a lightning arrestor system.
