gbn2377 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2009 Dear all I would like to check with u all about this I would like to do the following for kitchen and one toilet and one bathroom(3I corner resale) renovate the kitchen,toilet&bathroom but the kitchen need to plaster back only-no wall tiling plaster the living room wall hacking and put homo tiling for living room rewiring the kitchen and living room fixing cronies for living room changing windows and and main door grill painting whole house Can do all this within $13k?? othello 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2009 wah.... very tough. Baring a miracle to cut costs 1. Overlay floor and wall(toilet) tiles 2. kitchen wall - cement over and paint. 3. Might have to give up plastering + cornice (if thats what you are referring to) 4. Paint yourself Bearing in mind the sure to incur hidden/additional costs, when asking for quote state $11,000 to absorb all those surprises... how about your water pipes ? Hacking existing wall tiles, cement and paint ~ $1K - $1.5K plaster the living room wall Should be ard $500 or less than that. hacking and put homo tiling for living room Hacking around $1K + disposal. Tiles depend on the range you select, ard $2.30 ~ $10 psf. rewiring the kitchen and living room Mostly it was calculate by per power point. fixing cronies for living room Depending on design, ard $3 pfr. changing windows and and main door grill Aluminium $4 psf wronght iron grill $15 psf (not powder coated) painting whole house Should be ard $1K Can do all this within $13k?? Overlay floor and wall(toilet) tiles may be I can do overlaying of laminate in living room to cut cost.right ?? save at least few hundreds??? but overlaying kitchen and toilet very dif I feel cos its very old( those original cond with 1/2 of wall white tiles)(25 year old flat) Came up with this budget cos see many advt I offer kitchen and 2 toilets renovation for resale flats offer ~$9k 4. Anybody can let me know how much app: cost to do rewiring of 3I living and kitchen only???? rewire for 3 room prob 1k thereabouts...the expensive part i thk is the light points...if u wan to fix downlights etc...that wil take up alot of pts and each pt cost min $30... overlay laminate is a good budget alternative....now they come w 10yr -15 yr warranty shd b quite ok.. cabinet is ard 90 -140...solid top prices start fr $70... I do sediment flooring over my existing tiles, check my T-blog for photos. Anybody can let me know how much app: cost to do rewiring of 3I living and kitchen only????
