SmallCarrot 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2009 (edited) yaa....sad to say my contractor is also taking his own sweet time with my works.....(it's been 7weeks) and only wet works are almost completed. everyday only 1 to 2 workers showed up.....i got so fed up that i scolded him and tell him to put in writing a reasonable completion handover date, otherwise I will consider imposing a LD clause. however, i am thinking how am i suppose to call on the warranty (1yr) should the need arise since the final payment will be made upon completion and satisfactory handover. there's no retention sum or banker's guarantee like in other commercial contracts. so how to enforce our warranty rights? After a month research, only manage 2 ID and 1 contractor. If crisis continues, I think I have to save a little to work extra hard to supervise the progress every day with contractor. jaskel 2 Report post Posted August 10, 2009 Not possible and no contractor or ID will able to do this for u. There no way u can make a full length windows at all. Hacking the beam and all the wall inside, I don't think PE will approve on it, especially on the beam.
