Buy a glossy laminate (8Ft by 4 Ft) from supplier, cut it yourself and paste it to act as a backsplash. Buy a stainless steel sheet from supplier, paste it at the hob area. This is the cheapest option u can DIY.

This is my dining table brought from IKEA....the laminate used (all the 4 sides) below made it like a designer dining table . Cut and filed it myself.
