That's the basic principle in business rite? He is bankrupt since 2002. It is so easy to chk online yet u all don't do it. No wonder he can just start a company and take all your money away. He will thank u all for the help to pay his debt. Kao peh here will not solve the case. Part of it is ur own fault! Do ur homework first before complain here! Dear Administrator, I doubt the purpose of this message send by this person "TLN" is useful to anyone in this forum. Rather, there is a potentially slanderous remarks to Kelvin Ng. Without any evidence shown in this message, is it right to expose a person's bankruptcy? And is it ethical to mention an ID's bankruptcy in this forum? I am here just to mention my unhappy experiences with Kelvin Ng, but I don't hold any personal grudge towards him. And I will not reply to any of his fans' comments. Hi TLN, I am one of the victims who were not hardworking enough in doing my homework. I believe you are referring to me when you mentioned "why u owners keep complaining here after so many mths". Since I complained the most here for the last few months. I must admit that I haven't checked Kelvin's bankruptcy status before I signed with him. Well, yes, you are right, I must bear some of the responsibility. However, that doesn't make a Returned Cheque from Kelvin Ng morally right. I agree with Angry or Happy that I do not know what are you trying to prove here. That you are happy to see us owners getting into trouble? That you are trying to defend Kelvin by exposing his private matter? I seriosuly doubt your intention. This is a place for information sharing, do your home work first before writing here. Anyway, I'd like to voice out as well in regards to comments about homeowners being rewarded for allowing their houses be Kelvin's showflats. Like Hasibee mentioned above, we're willing to let strangers come into our house because of goodwill. I engaged Kelvin to reno my flat in mid 2006 after shortlisted a couple of IDs based on the reviews on this forum. The reno didn't go as smoothly as I expected, due to him rushing other clients houses to avoid hungry ghost month & serious personal pbm, he neglected our house & delayed the reno for more than 2 mths. Unlike many of u who stay at ur parents house, we were staying at a 3rm rented flat. The delay meant I had to fork out extra $$$ to extend the rent & our plan was jeopardized. Of course I trashed it out with him, but seeing most of his clients wanted his head as well, I just took it as my own bad luck. Unfortunately, our landlord couldn't let us stay any longer & we were forced to move into the incomplete house. We breath paint, drill dust & sawdust everyday while cooking in makeshift portable stove like illegal immigrants for 2 wks. But at the end of the day, credit is given where its due. We are happy with how the house turned out. Despite his busy schedules, he still make sure most of our problems is taken care off promptly. He also rectified & refunded us for most of his mistakes. Some ppl may hate his ah beng & straight talking attitude. But his easy going nature & honesty may have won many of his clients over. It also puzzles me how he could ended up in such state after single handedly building up his own & G'Plans reputation. Gla, I hope ur problem can be solved quickly. Like Gla and others, I too engaged Kelvin Ng Mee Chee to be the one doing up my hse.(Based on his reputation in this forum). Before choosing Kelvin, both my wife and I went through 7 different contractors/ design companies before deciding on him, and what a mistake it was! We engaged Kelvin Ng service in Mar 09, till July 09 things are still not done. Every time we contact him, he is either sick, hospitalize or not answering our calls. Each time we have to SMSs him, and pray that he received it and call us back. Imagine the wait for his return call.... Things went well in the beginning: we went shopping for hse items together, and he always protract a good image in front of us. However delay after delay, promises after promises. Things was not done and move in date get defer and defer. Things just don't get done! Now like the rest of Kelvin Ng clients, I am stuck with Bank loan AND extra loan borrow from friends/ relatives to complete the hse renovations. Frankly speaking, I only blame myself for trusting him so much. And I tell myself this will be the last time I am going to be so easily deceive by others. Thanks. Why on earth would you want Kelvin's contact? Unless you just want to try your luck and kachao him. I'm also a new flat owner looking for a a ID and after weeks of reading many of the posts in this and other forums I've come to the conclusion that while doing reno is indeed exciting however the dangers of getting a rogue ID is always there. Really appreciate all the forumers who dare to speak up and take time to post their bad experiences with certain IDs so that us newbies will be more wary and avoid the blacklisted one. Almost make me feel like foregoing the reno and move into a bare flat to avoid all these hassle. As long as we try to keep to the facts and minimise our personal remarks this forum would really serve well to inexperience homeowners who are trying a build a nice home with their hard earned cash.
