minee 0 Report post Posted February 29, 2008 Hi All, I have deleted the email content posted. Posting private emails is not good nettiquette, especially when this is a minor dispute. On another note, lets not get into debates on the personality of an ID, as such perceptions are always subjective, and doesn't serve much purpose. 2 people can have vastly different opinions of the same person. In general, descriptions of what the ID does (e.g. timeliness/ product quality) are more objective than what you feel about the ID. !!

In general, descriptions of what the ID does (e.g. timeliness/ product quality) are more objective than what you feel about the ID. Well, I have to agree to a certain extent. Since I am the "victim" here, can I have the last say about this before before we move on??? I agree that my judgement on the ID or anyone else is subjective and surely will not be value add here. Like I said repeatedly, I am only stating what I felt about the way he handled the phonecall, you may agree with me, or not (like Vonzzz) which is subjective. However, on the point whereby Vonzzz mentioned that Kevin brought people to see whose-ever house he done, I am sure he seeked the owners' permission first. If not, it is quite unimaginable to me. Again, this is my personal opinion...To me, posting the email here is just like Dawn Yang posting the msn messages between herself and Edison Chen, which I feel is very wrong. I address the email to Kevin, not even cc or bcc to anyone else, so anyone else reading it without my permission is intrusion to my privacy. With that, what he did is no longer subjective, but objective as it is really what he did/does.Anyone, thanks to the people who I think is speaking on my behalf.Okay, we may move on. gidler 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2008 Haha, not despair lah. He is not the only ID, and of course I am not his only potential customer. That is why I dropped him during the 1st call (think he was quite surprised that I sounded more sure than him to end the conversation ). I have met quite a few others and most seem okay. So have you chosen any of those IDs you met?No decision made yet on the ID, but definitely towards the end of the search. Will make a final call probably mid this month. How about yourself?GIdler

I'm practically revamping the whole flat. My instruction to all the IDs were simple, treat the floor plan as a blank drawing board and let their creativity flow. My tentative budget is about $70K. I can PM you my experience with some of the good IDs for your reference.GIdler
OnePostWonder 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2008 (edited) any other good IDs from Gplan beside Kevin??any recommendations..??try Kenny, he'll always try to give u the best within your budget PM me if u need his contact...Some points to note...1. He's slow in producing coloured 3D drawings, so those who like to see 3D drawings before work commencement, you might wanna check with him2. He's very very flexible with his quotations3. He'll bring you to his existing projects4. He always makes time to meet you, even on Sundays (Just met him @ my new place for 1 hour)5. I don't think he's packed wih projects6. He constantly improves on his proposed drawings (He made my MBR feature wall even nicer without extra costs!) Edited March 2, 2008 by OnePostWonder

caDAVEr 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2008 Mine's an EA. Need all the space I can get while "capitalizing" on government's baby bonus.. No wonder you budget so high!! I actually wanted to get an EM at Tampines but the potentially high reno cost stopped me. Anyway, good luck on you family planning!!

fanguojun 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2008 any comments on Ern Lim from Gplan? We used EL for our reno 1 year back. Her design is good and thoughtful. But i think she can do better in terms of project monitoring skills and also when things don't go out well, should think harder for solutions rather than go the easy way out. You can PM me for more details
