Yes, be firm. However, sometimes some things can give and take, depending on how chin chai the ID/ contractor is.

Elane, we saw a lady in white top and black skirt just now during the evening time at your place. Was that you? :o

Maybe we should organise a ONE DAY tour in sengkang, when all done with renovation, and we go viewing from house to house.

elane1311, IDs always ask us to trust them. but sometimes nice to them may not be nice to us.

some of the ideas my ID wanna do to my house, but as the renovation moves on, I told her to change. cos don't like the feel of it. Although she was upset, cos we changed her designs, but I was insistence, cos I will be staying there for the next 5 years. It could be a fresh and new idea of hers, and she wanna give it a try, but I don't wish to let her have her way, knowing that I won't like it. Well, we went ahead with the change, she also no choice. And I'm glad with my change.

yesterday also rather upset with my ID. cos she gave wrong instructions to the electrician. I wanted all the light switches to be place behind a wall, somewhere near the rooms. so that upon switching off the lights, i can walk into my rooms in the dark (distance shorter - common sense mah). But somehow, she place the dining room lights near the rooms (correct) but the living room she place them all at the main door area upon entering. meaning now i have to walk to door off the lights after watching TV, then walk in the dark (a longer distance) to go to my room. I told her that's silly right? Worse of all, she claim my hubby was the one who told her that arrangement. lucky my hubby came up after work, and demanded an explanation and said he never told her such arrangement, then she say will rectify, but that means got to do something to my false ceiling (drill a hole!) then mend it.

I din want it. cos drill and mend, then the false ceiling not perfect piece. haiz. ID, if don't be there when they work, certain things just don't go well.

wahahaha..via LRT? or the free shuttle bus provided by Fernvale Point? you can come over for the 抢摊行动的nasi lemak..super long queue worz!

anyway, shall see the end result, he will not be unhappy because my cost in involved and the design is not HIS, but the designer he engaged. He's the boss of the firm. i think it will not be super ugly because the purple colored glass is not up yet.

my colleague just give me a lame one: she said the design looks complicated if I am going to sleep in that room, but since I use it for dressing purpose, she thinks that is ok. lolx..trying to comfort me.

via LRT will be sufficient. in SK, LRT very convenient.

WOW u mean you have one whole room as wiw? so envy...... :dribble:

In that case, then I agree with your colleague. If you're sleeping and facing it, it looks complicated.

But if just a dresser room, then it can just be a design mah. something different? unique?

isnt that also the purpose of getting an ID, so that they can design something different? lolz

erm...personally i like anything thats purple or pink. Maybe that's why the 3D design looks nicer. Maybe when the purple glass are up, as what the Id said, it will look nice? Of cos, still must you like mah. else wait everyday you go inside change and feels irritated looking at the staggered design, ruin your day how?

Hi Dyleen,

I read about your living rooms switches placed near the rooms. I am thinking, what if you just return from outside at night, so you need to walk in the dark from the main door to the switches before you can see any light?

I thought that was pretty scary, cause my place now renovating, the whole place will be dark after 7pm and if we placed the switches near the rooms, we will be walking into our place in the dark when we enter the house after work. And esp. after my shopping trips, walking with lotsa shopping bags. Hee..

Actually for this, you can install those light switches with a white LED indicator that is lit up when the switch is off. It allows you to see where the switch is located in the darkness. My whole flat is using this kind of switches, from Clipsal.
