funny i met a uncle from the same company but with different address.

he showed me to a few of his works... found the workmanship so so...

anyway i have check the hdb approved contractor license number on his name card and it does not match with the company. hence till now i have yet to call him up for a quotation.

any1 let him renovated your home b4? care to share?

yup from wat i see, his namecard showing different address as well. he said he has renovated more than 100 houses at puggol area already..dont know how true it is...

I guess the License number u found from HDB belongs to this company "STAR DESIGN RENOCATION CONTRACTOR".

I too did a check from HDB website. But "STAR DESIGN" is the company that is registered with HDB but "Dennis Interior Design" is not registered.

Now I see this post, the address is at Bedok. Maybe they have moved office.

Actually my dad was approached by Uncle A in punggol. Uncle A showed him around to some of the renovation works he's incharged and he gave my dad his name card. The same name card as quoted by sleepykitty.

My dad and i contacted Uncle A while we're at punggol. But a Uncle B show up instead. Uncle B say Uncle A is his relative helping out. Seriously im not sure which uncle is Dennis Foo but uncle B speaks hainanese..

They showed me quite a number of units they are working on when i was at punggol breeze last week. Did talked to one of the owner. Feedback quite positive.

Their namecard printed both side with two diff company under one licence no. and only one is registered. Address also like u guys mentioned... diff from registration.

Seen them twice, they not pushy, no hard sell... quite nice but their namecards with diff company n only one company registered worries me.

My place is currently being done by Dennis. Price is indeed reasonable, quality/workmanship is not bad (i've seen some really bad ones) but do take note that he is not operating as an ID. He is like a main contractor for your reno. You will need to know what u want to do, cos he is not like IDs who can give u ideas and such. My reno proceeded without 3D drawings @_@'' , although dennis said that he can arrange for someone to do that if thats what i needed. i figured out that i would end up being the one having to pay for the 3D drawings if i opt in for that. It'll help if u have pictures of your idea reno so as to minimise miscommunication if anyone engaging dennis. Personally, I've seen like about 10 of his works (all in breeze over a span of 1 mth when i was scouting for reno person for my unit). My unit is scheduled for handover come 1st august. Anyone keen to see can pm me.

used his co for my new plc. boasted bout having so many units ard punggol too.

even saw my dwg, tt we used to show him our ideas, to show other customers tt it was his ideas.

only carpentry work we r satisfied w (e reason y we choose Dennis Inetrior @ e 1st plc) & he is far fr Interior, like ranran01 said, he don't design. he boast. he got us a bookie (learnt fr e painter when he was @ our plc to do touching up) to do up our electrical work. sucks big time & gotto get some other electrician to finish up e crap he left over. & he did not inform electricians (or any other of his sub cons on e details if u require any) to install switch for downlight above bed, end up switches was installed tgt w switches near door which defeat e whole design purpose of getting downlights for bed. & switches sequence does not go along w e arrangement of e lights.

dented our new Hansgrohe rain shower head & e plumber uncle said we will need to change it eventually anyway. wth... used v rusty screws too!

gave us wrong dining table top as discussed earlier (gave us wood laminate!) (quartz which was initial material agreed), e next day he told me they already done up a pc using "hard surface" (those u find in bank counters etc.) which gives u lots of scratches & stain. (& a stained pc was given, & only coming to polish it away cos they wanna collect final payment)

so beware if u wanna engage this guy. u hav to monitor very very closely. but i hav to say, his group of carpenter sub-con, i have to give them big credit, they really made out plc look not as bad as i have described.
