merryman...wa..u throw the question back to me ar?

well, in business law (running my memory back to 3 yrs ago), they will sue u because all elements to form a contract are in.

but under the sales of good and services act (if i remember correctly), the service provided to u by the contractor must be acceptable - meaning by the industrial standard. then again, if u ratified (meaning u agreed that it's acceptable to u), the contractor is not liable.

ehh...think ar...u better get legal advise la..dun even know if these are still applicable or not.

you sounded quite confident mah :D yea, gds/service delievered has to be acceptable by the "common" man mah... even the singtel bill caused by unacceptabled wiring also.... haha, i've just studied business law last year but deferred the exam... it's becoming too vague... :D

you can bargain with them but as you're tied to the contract, if they want to insist on changing, then you have to let them otherwise you will be the one dishonoring it in the end..

Hey guys

I am really grateful to your for sparing your time to give me your precious advices.

I guess I need to go home and have a good talk with my husband on this. Maybe we can reach an amicable settlement with the contractor. Who knows?
