Aircon Installation Resale Flat Reno

Hi guys, would like to check. When u Reno ur resale flat, how do u guys arrange the aircon installation? The guys go up once or twice to ur home? If once, how did they do it? If twice, how?

From my contractor, he say get the aircon guy to dismantle and lay new piping. After when all the hacking works (cos of the dust) and painting completed, then install the compressor and fancoil. Is this how it's done?

Pls advice.

For my case although mine is a resale flat but no existing pipings or aircon there for dismantle. However I believe the shop will give you an option to whether get the job done within either once or twice.

As for mine, I got them to just come once and fixed up eveything once and for all.

It is better for them to come twice. Once to install pipings after hacking, plastering, electrical and before painting. Then come to install fan coils.

For my case - the contractor removes the existing aircon (and sell them for money). Then we will get the aircon in to do the trunking after the wet work is done. The indoor units are installed at almost the end.

According to the aircon guy, this is to prevent the workers from turning on the aircon while they are renovating your house. Electricity is one thing; if the aircon sucks in enough dust it will drastically cut down the lifespan of your aircon unit.

Hi, where does everyone lay the outlet pipe for the aircond? Is it ok to put it under the toilet flooring (not visible)?
