applepie7 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2009 I'm moving into a new house with my parents. However, they are interested in those darkly stained /glossy ancient wooden chairs/sofas.(often comes along with the bright red cushions)....as they are comfortable and cooling even when hot....I'm not that enthusiastic about their idea. Was wondering if anyone has any alternatives to this, maybe a contemporary design exist?

applepie7 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2009 ooh rose wood... yes that's what it's called. i mean...i guess i can learn to appreciate it. but the design is really.....yeah i've seen scanteak designs and its quite cotemporary...but my parents like to sit on the wood itself and scanteak has cushions. wonder if it's seat-able or comfortable without the cushions.
