butbutbut... different ppl would do different things for their homes, so the cost would be different, no?

e.g. my block got 2 other units using same contractor, 1 of them did a 13k job, the 2nd one did a 20k job ( we went in to "beo abit" ).

13k i guess just simple work.

Of cos different house will have different price BuT

If simple reno, which is without tiles, range shd be less than 20k & full reno, which include tiles, will cost over 20k

So I would like to know, example 13K, did they do feature wall for TV & bomb shelter, hw long is the cabinet length & include window grilles?

At least, I can know wat is the ave price & which contractor have over quote me

for me:

30ft cabinet, granite top

feature for TV & console

feature for bomb

false ceiling

6ft low cabinet

wardrobe

shower screen

window grilles

painting

a few quotes between 14-17k

For my aircon, the pipe will go thru the toilet then thru the passageway to the other 2 room, which will conceal by the false ceiling.

But haven't check if there anything in that wall.

our quotes so far are about 25-30k.

still got to..

electrical = +2k ?

aircon = +2k ?

speaking of aircon ah, we saw one unit's aircon.. so scary.

instead of running the water pipe from the room to the toilet, they drilled a hole in the master-bedroom's wall - and poke the drainage pipe out at the aircon ledge - so the water will drip down there (and the green moss will definitely grow in no time!)

also, the rest of rubber tubing was coiled around like a python at the aircon ledge's railing, exposed in the open, and stuck to the wall - with silicon - they hole they drilled for the water piping to poke out, was too big; so they pumped ALOT of silicon/plaster into that hole to seal it.

so from the master bedroom (inside) the wall would look flat.

BUT

from the outside, it looks like a one big mess of white whipped cream smudged onto the wall, with the aircon's rubber tubing coiled up, mashed into the white whipped cream.

yes, it's fking disgusting.

pity the owners of that unit - their contractor / installer didn't even bother to en-case up the rubber properly nor run the pipe properly to the bathroom (and the bathroom was so near - just at the corner, about 1 foot away!)

imagine the owner living there.. whenever they hang out their clothes to dry, they will see this ugly mess of white whipped cream (soon-to-turn-green with moss).

for me the hse can stay very happy liao. of cos basic things need to be done but most of them i find direct. if can DIY.
