Steel Or Wood Double Deck Bedframe?

Recommended Posts

hihi!

any comments on whether a steel or wood double deck bedframe is better? my double deck is referring to a bed on the top, and a space at the bottom for study/work table at the bottom..

i saw some at ikea, but wondering if the bed on top will crash down one day!

cheers,

shannon

Won't crash down. Unless everyday two persons on-top shakes too much. :P

Yes, it will rust after a year or so, depending on the condition of the steel and the paintwork. Wood can be sprayed gold also. I brought a side table from IKEA 6 years ago, sprayed paint and it still good. Recently just apply oil paint on it and used it as outdoor side table. Saw some company selling this type of concept of bed which you pull down is a bed, you push up is a study table. Maybe u can purchase it, cost few hundred $ only. Cheaper and you don't need to DIY if brought from IKEA. :yamseng:

personally prefer wood rather than any metal for beds.

reason being, when sleeping, touching the bed can be quite cold of it's a metal, but not so cold for wood.

:D

heh.

jaskel,

those pics are cool, but i don't think i can fit into the study area!! :P

good idea tho!
