is banking with stand-chart easy? Must deposit via counters only or do they have deposit machines? Later have to transfer my money from POSB, dunno whether troublesome anot...

and may decide to close off the POSB current account after 6 mths to tide over this period first...

merryman..banking with SCB (stand-chart) is relatively easy. u get withdraw cash from any ATM5 machines. you can deposit cash from their "cash deposit machine". transferring money from POSB shouldn't be problem, as long as you have internet banking. but to make it easier, if u were to close off ur POSB account, you could ask POSB to issue you a cheque and you deposit it into SCB's cheque deposit box.

the thing about SCB is that they have limited number of machines (for cash deposit and withdrawal) due to the regulation set by MAS.

Gotten POSB cheque le...

POSB 1 year $24, cheque book $10

Standchart 1 year $15, cheque book $15

Might cancel after 6 months of use also... but POSB more convenient cuz linked to my savings account...

I might consider SCB next time bah... the last item is also a factor, the branches are not near to my place at all, be it working or home :D
