Cement Screeding For Timber Flooring

Hi all,

Apologies if this topic had been discussed to dead but I can't seem to access the following link to the topic.

nothing was shown in the post.

Anyway I am considering to do timber flooring for my brand new HDB home. I have read somewhere here that some recommends engaging external contractor to do the cement screeding, some says HDB will be able to do a good job.

What is your say on this matter?

let's say if HDB did a not so fantastic job of cement screeding and the floor is still uneven, can I reject it and get it redone?

or can i engage an external contractor to touch up?

if engage external contractor to do it, how much will it cost?
