try to go for a win win situation. Find out why the sellers need to stay on for another month first as ultimately u would want to take over the place happily

The seller need to wait for the $$ to credited into their CPF a/c and that $$ will only credited into their a/c 2wk after our 2nd appointment .As they need that $$ then they can go for their 1st appointment .But somehow they wanted to save the $$ on the rented. :(

they're in a desperate situation cos of the releasing of funds back into CPF for their next purchase. Do you think u can help them out by letting them stay on for another month? They might not have the $ to pay u rental. U might wanna work it out with them by maybe getting them to pay the utility bill and the conservancy charges for that month.

Just a suggestion to resolve the matter as there are instances whereby the whole sales got screwed up and both parties lost out. Or in some instances, sellers damage some of the items in the house just to get back at the buyers.

Yes, agree. If you do not need the place too urgently, I think out of goodwill, you can let them stay for another month.

I too bought a house recently and agreed to let seller stay on for one extra month.

Seller paying me rent for the extra month plus allowing me to store any new stuff like sofa that I might buy.

I can also bring ID to take any measurements.

Its always better if you can work something out cordially. Threatening with lawyer will only complicate things. Even if you win, you will waste lot of energy and time following up in court.

My buyer allows us (the seller) to stay for a month while renovating our the other home.

However, as we've decided to stay at my parents' place, as renovation will take more than a month or so.

We told the buyer, we might handover the flat to them earlier, but definitely after 2nd appt, as we really need the time to move the stuffs.

And because our buyer let us have that one month for free, we've decided do it swee swee for them.

Before we handed the house to them, we actually clean up the place and clear away everything. As we know they bought out place due to the move-in condition, not doing much reno.

I guess, if you're really not in a hurry to move over, no harm letting them stay over. but if you're afraid they will delay, then perhaps get your agent to draft out :paint: a contract stating the duration they can stay there, get it written in black and white to protect yourself too.

actually this is what happen to my seller too, waiting for the money to come in before they can proceed with their new purchase. i am rather amazed that ur seller never bring the matter up earlier. we agreed when signing to OTP to allow them to stay to a max of 2.5M. we even signed a letter to it. no rent will b collected but they agree to reduce their COV which is alrite to us since we r not in a hurry at all. utility is on them as well. the rental collected from a tenant will go to us as well.
