Read from another thread that there is plywood in the cushion? What for?

Also, if I dun have cushions, what can i use to top the bay window instead of leaving it as cold cement? I have heard of:

- marble (pricey)

- corian (any idea how much?)

- laminate (can it withstand the sun?)

what else?

Thanks! Can i check with you:

- what material is the solid top for bay window made of?

- for acrylic top ... looks like stones but is it plastic?

how much were you quoted for them?
