Kartell 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2009 Hi again, Yeah we went to all those places too haha, except we went to Alumix over at Toa Payoh instead. We kind of crossed Ximula out because of the price. Did you consider Alumix? Er actually my ID Miker, he is suggesting us to use Alumix glass door and need me to top up another $500 on top of the original quote for the wardrobe (only laminated doors and interior PVC white) which trigger me to look for alternatives. So i didnt consider Alumix at that moment....

Kartell 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2009 Wow, 500 extra to change the door? Ok thanks for your advice, time to make some decisions soon. The bad things keep coming, the ID passed me the invoice of the Blum System yesterday for my shoe cabinet which for 1 set of doors Lift up Hinges cost 120 bucks. Now need to top up, i was wondering initially, when the design came, we werent informed of the add on for the mechanism, and we never ask for Blum, just that his current mechanism cant hold on to the door when lift up...sigh.... To me is a bad design which we have to compensate for. Anyway this is the last major item from the ID before Closet Design took over the wardrobe
Kartell 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2009 Today suppose to be handover by ID miker, but he has some problem installing the Blum system to my shoe cabinet. This was the additional top up required ($120 per set for 1 door) which wasnt on the initial quotation. Anyway, he also insisted that whole house cleaning is not included on the quotation althought every quotation, there is this statement : Project Management * Design Conceptualization, Space Planning, Colour Scheme and Materials Proposal for the Whole House, Site Inspection and Whole House Cleaning. Nevertheless, he sms me say that he will ask his cleaner to clean up our place. So today no activities from the carpentry side, but there is some installation on our laundry system by EZ living Pulled out version Yard Pulled down version (Chained operated) Wine Holder on top of the kitchen cabinet

Kartell 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2009 (edited) hi may i know how much u paid for the pull down version? its custom fit or universal one?? my yard area has false ceiling, can it be fitted? cheers Oh mine is false ceiling as well, they have brackets to install for any kind of yard. Mine is bolted to the side of the walls. The chain pulley cost around $460 including brackets and installation, you can have poles from 1.4 m to 2m for 4 x poles. Is a universal one. Go to Ezz website , http://www.ezziliving.com/ Look for Naga, the sales manager. Free onsite inspection and recommendation They have cheaper version like without chain pulley (string only) like 300plus and also the pulled out version around 200bucks Cheers Edited June 25, 2009 by Kartell

xherion 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 Hi Kartell, Nice to see the progress of your house, very nice open area deck you have there. Your lighting is marvelous as well. I'm also interested in the chain pull down laundry system, the price they quoted me is much higher than yours although she said when Naga inspect the house usually he can give more discounts. My yard is concrete ceiling, so should be cheaper without the bracket? Do you that system is easy to use and especially durable? Thanks for your input. Mine is false ceiling, so if yours is concrete, you can save $$ from the brackets which cost around 60 bucks. Er i tried, should be ok. Not sure if is durable
Reiki 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 Hope the shoe cabinet problem is now resolved, Kartell. I believe Blum Aventos should solve the problem. There are different sets of Aventos for different power factor [cabinet height and front weight]. Blum personnel would be able to advise you accordingly. Just sharing my past experience. When we got the Blum guy over to our place for aventos installation, it is the carpentry people that will fix the mechanism. He will only supervise. Perhaps, you might want to check with your ID for the arrangement.
