The renovation works from Renozone have to be delayed for the handover

1. Book Case soft closing mechaninsm need to be installed and removing existing damper which doesnt help when the door is closed harder.

2. Shoe Cabinet need special hinges or mechanism so that it is able to lift up the heavy mirror door when opened to closed position

3. Shoe cabinet need suspended mechanism to hold the door when it is opened 90 deg

Anyway, Miker has promised to done all these by Wednesday 24th June

Next week, another busy week schedule to complete the house

1. Monday - Liang Hoe Huat will send their guys to re-paint again on the wood decking (FOC for this special services)

2. Monday - Europa Wallcovering will complete the wall paper installation

3. Monday - suntec1688 will finish all the curtains in the house

4. Thursday - Choong Ying will re-do 1 of the outdoor lights and re-align the fan

I guess we still have to wait till July to officially move in.... :(

wow! :jawdrop: Nice!

Hmm..may i ask why are there so many horizontal line with the mirror?cant it be a big piece of mirror?

Oh the mirror is actually the shoe cabinets. that's why it has so many horizontal lines, but yup if is a sliding mirror door would be better. Still learning from this lesson.....

i think your shoe cabinet is nice...very good in fact...if its mirror sliding door...then it will be too common...and no designer effect....

but of cos, practicality wise, i cant comment...maybe sliding easier...

Yup that is what i thought initially, but the mirror door was too heavy to be lifted up or lifted down. We have changed few mechanism sourced from Miker and still didnt help. He went to Blum and passed me the invoice of $124 for one door mechanism. I am still sourcing to see if i can find cheaper distributor or going ikea to search for similiar mechanism.

Hi Kartell,

Went to ClosetDesign to find Luke, but he wasn't there that day. Ended up eating Bak Kut Teh instead.. hahaa

Anyway, wanna ask you about closets, want to compare the type of wood used by Lumiera, Cupboards, Alumix and ClosetDesign. Any idea?

Thanks!

Helo DKCH

We were at the same boat with you. We went to Lumiera at IFC, Cupboards at IMM, Ximula at Parkmall, and in the end, chosen Closet Design. Lumiera using laminated wood interior, so it was out althought they offer the cheapest. Cupboards and Ximula using diff material but was **** expensive. So due to budget constraint, we picked Closet Design which has diff wood material which is not laminated wood.

Hope this help

I think last weekend they have offer for poles system (like those walk in wardrobe) for 5ft is only 1.5K

Mine is 4.5ft and not pole system already 1.5K....

Hi again,

Yeah we went to all those places too haha, except we went to Alumix over at Toa Payoh instead. We kind of crossed Ximula out because of the price. Did you consider Alumix?
