My ID came to replace the broken glass at the kitchen yesterday. They replaced it with a tempered glass instead, at no cost, so that it won't keep shattering. Problem is that the two heater switches means that the hole in the glass would have to be quite big, and when they fix the switches onto the glass, it would create quite a bit of pressure and might crack the glass again.

Sigh.. now the reno is done, it's a relief, but at the same time, cos I didn't have the $$ to do more, I keep seeing things that can be improved.

Anyways.. my wife and I went to home fix to buy some copper coloured paint for the window grille at the kitchen and repainted it. It looks much much better now... gotta take a pict of it too!

Ya, take pics please. After reading renotalk for quite some times, i develop a love for DIY, esp wall decals hee. Maybe will see what your wife did and steal some ideas from her :D .

Hmm... it's about time I had a house warming.. cos my wife told me that people were asking about it.

Just that... we have so many groups of people to invite so not sure how we want to go about it. Plus, it's so tiring. Not to mention that we hardly did any reno.. not like those beautiful makeovers that we see on so many of the t-blogs in RT. So not much to 'show around'.. shy shy...

So.. it's either we do a big gathering.. at the function room... or have a small one and just have steam boat or we whip up some of our 'specialty dishes' .. haha

stress stress... :o

Hope i will not disappoint u cos my house oso simple design, nothing to wow abt. Actually i am a little disappoint that my common bathroom will look nicer than my master one. No choice cos the tiles used in master bathrm more exp, so lesser feature tiles used. But when i think of using wall decals to decorate, i can even smile in my sleep haha!

Need some advice here... from the pict, you can see there's a gap between the window grille and the granite, where the wash basin is at.

photo0230k.jpg

As I decided not to tile the kitchen, that gap is simply painted over. However, as its a wash area.. water will keep splashing onto the wall... and very soon there'll be water stains and all. Just wondering.. is there anything we can paste or DIY to make it water proof and yet look nice?

First time i've heard of Gmarket until you and pbtgal mentioned it...

i shall slowly explore it... and if it's 'too good', maybe I'd better not let my wife know about the site.. hahaha
