Found that there some tiny lump protuding and was told by the contractor it is because of the nail and is normal? Is that true or it is a defect that need to be rectify. Thanks Hi there, From what i understand, it is not normal to have protusion caused by nails as timber flooring is laid using adhesive. nails are used only if a layer of plywood is required to provide a smooth base but even then, the nails are supposed to be flushed with the plywood.
