Finally going to have our second appt this coming Friday at 3pm! So excited :P

My agent has been very helpful so far, she didn't leave me alone even after she has received the full payment for her service since the first appt..but still keep in touch with me.

Maybe everything went so smoothly because I got a very cooperative seller..who did everything on schedule ;)

Will be bringing Patrick to view the house on Sat to get a finalised quote...and hope to start the reno process on 28 Sept as advised by my feng shui master.

Bought a 42" LCD TV from the COMEX fair in Suntec City for $1099! Definitely the cheapest for this size of TV so far...but also saw another one selling for $899. 42" Phillips LCD TV..but didn't get cos the pictures not very sharp..

This is the one I got...LG LF20 LCD TV :D

Went to select tiles yesterday at Hafary and Lian Seng Hin at Balestier Road...need some opinion on which combi looks better :P

First combi..the upper two tiles are wall tiles while the one at the bottom is the floor tile.

Second combi...

And also the tile for kitchen...got three choices but dunno which one will look better in a kitchen with white cabinets...

Choice 2

Choice 3 - looks almost like choice 2 except it has little sparkles here and there on the tile...

Appreciate all opinion and feedback...thanks! :D

Can I check with you what's the distance between your tv and your sofa?

I am wondering whether I should get 32" or 37" tv as my tv would be only 1.8m away from the sofa (from tv position to sofa's edge)

I think the distance is only ard 1.2 to 1.4m...cos my living room length is 'shortened' due to the construction of the study room as part of the living room...

Haha yea, I know, it has been a long wait. 3 pages before the renovation finally started :P

Hubby went down to the site yesterday to take a look and he mentioned almost everything in the house has been hacked out except for the store room and the wall in between the main and common bedroom.

I will be going down today and will post some pictures tonight :sport-smiley-018: :sport-smiley-018:

Found out that there is a horizontal beam running right across our intended bed-position T__________T

The Fengshui master said that that location is the best for both of us, but it suffers from the horizontal beam. Really don't know what to do.

Have to rectify this before our contractor start erecting the false wall.

One way is to revert back to our draft 3, which places the bed on a solid wall instead of a false wall, though it reduces the wardrobe area to 3metres instead of 4metres.

Sighz.

Err, I know nuts about 'chinese' geomancy but often heard that one should not sleep under a beam. Do consult and let your Fengshui master know, Nekorin. Better to have peace of mind. :)

Yup, we have already let him know about this..he also agrees that we shouldn't sleep under the beam. So we will be moving our bed all the way to the wall and moving the wardrobe to the other side of the room, as seen in the second arrangement.
