skyblue 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2009 Update 3 Dining Table Set The thing about this table is that the corners are not "sharp", so that it should be less "dangerous", haha... But, the delivery guys left out 1 more small piece (to be screwed below the actual table top, like a little shelf), to be attached around the 4 small silver "stick" things below the table top (see photo below). So they need to make another trip here, really don't like such things to happen, where I cannot have a more "complete look" of the things that I bought. *Sigh*... Different arrangement of the 4 chairs...
skyblue 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2009 Question Time Maybe those forumers with kids could help me with this question. My mother currently is looking after my 3 nieces during weekdays (daytime only), and they like to ride a kid bicycle (those with additional 2 more wheels at the back) in the living room at my mother's place. If they shift here to my place, can they ride the bicycle in my living room?? The reason I asked is that my living room/bedrooms are all homo tiles (see photo below, might not be very clear), would the riding of bicycle scratch/spoil the floor tiles ah?? A closer view of the tiles (looks white but not white, got a little design):
Bon07 1 Report post Posted June 14, 2009 No problem at all, Bon07. I've learnt quite a lot from this forum (though some things I know now, it's too late, haha), so I personally feel that I should share my part of the experiences/problems which I encountered, wherever possible. For your question, I am he would answer me if I call him now, but I would ask him tomorrow as I think I should not bother him on a Sunday (even though he might be working or out meeting clients), a rest day for most people. Pardon me for being a little more considerate here. So wait for my reply tomorrow yeah... hehe..no prob at all!
Bon07 1 Report post Posted June 14, 2009 Update 1 Dish Rack Trying to find a best spot for this rack, which I suppose the third one fit perfectly, do you guys think so?? A little too "far" from basin?? A little too "high" up?? Perfect spot?? But my little worry is the nearby power point... i think option 3 is better but u must be careful abt splashing water onto the powerpoint
Bon07 1 Report post Posted June 14, 2009 Update 2 Bed Frame My "naked" bed frame (without the Seahorse mattress) is here today, it is actually a platform bed... The "skeleton" bed frame. Haha... Do you guys think I should leave a gap on the right hand side of the photo (near power point/socket), rather than push all the way to the wall??? i dun think need to leave a gap....neater this way
skyblue 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2009 Thanks Bon07, appreciate your feedback. Just now the furniture company called up to arrange to fix the missing part (of dining table) tomorrow noon time, so I quickly said ok, coz I don't to delay any further. Haha... ivy 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2009 dish rack i opt for option 3. can get ur ID to add a cover for your power point to prevent water from getting in? u got a cool bedframe and I think should push all the way in so that you won't drop little things in between the game. As for cycling in the house, I think you may have to prevent it, otherwise very soon ur homo tiles will have scratches and look dull. But sometimes it is easier said than done when the little ones really wanna just roll the toys/bicycle around the house... My boys enjoying cycling and rolling on the walker.. a bit no heart to deprive them of the joy...
preciousjam 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2009 Regarding question on the bicycles in the house, hmmm... I'm forbidding my kids to play any thing with wheels in the house ( at least for now) Want to enjoy the place first....
mrspiglet 2 Report post Posted June 15, 2009 (edited) for the dish rack, i'll pick option 2. Bed wise depends very much on the person who's sleeping right beside the powerpoints. I wanted to park my bed to the wall too, but in the end left a gap becos i dun wanna crawl over just to get out of bed. And i'm kinda against sleeping closely beside powerpoints, since current creates magnetic field and i'm not sure how it will affect. Just a little kiasi part.
