ncy 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2009 I enquire and compared among 3 brands, Shell, Mobil and Union. Seems like Union is the cheapest aft comparing the deposit, price per tank and also the installation charges and freebies they give such as the regulator and also the cylinder mat. But I am not sure if those flyers which usually originates from smaller shops will be more aggresive by offering more price breaks to entice customers to sign up with them. I am quite wary as well when installing cylinder gas but I was left with no choice since I am staying in an old flat and it doesnt have the PUB gas supply. eiffel76 1 Report post Posted June 4, 2009 hi, can someone enlighten me, is there any difference between all the brands (i.e. safety, gas quality etc) ? my house kena so many flyers from different companies but besides price, what should i look out for in choosing the LPG brand ? im a new cylinder user who switched to LPG as it's cheaper. But wondering about safety issues, cos i have a newborn at home. hihi act that was my question also...esp the "heads" are not interchangeable so once u sign up w one brand, u usu end up with them...so far if jus talk on price, ya union is the cheapest... ncy 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2009 I can comment based on my personal experience. I had stayed about 1 yr before in Potong Pasir. The unit I stayed there before also no PUB supply. Back then I was using Union as well. Didnt have any prob such as leakage or any safety hazards before. Thats y due to the price and also my personal experience using Union before, I went for Union again.
