Haha, actually it's not too soon to start. If start too late then will have to rush ur decisions during reno, and u won't have the luxury of time to slowly search for the items u like. :)

Agree with Angel, we also thought lots of time at first but once start, suddenly everything seems to be in a rush... As we can only meet people on weekends, we have only 5-6 weekends before the reno completes.

Based on our timeline so far:

1st weekend: Finalise tile selection (He takes only 3 days to hack everything and by 4th day, can start tiling I think); if you are going with a separate window contractor, he'll have to put up the frames before Yeak men's can complete the wall tiling. Which means, you got to meet and choose your color of the window frame by then.

2nd weekend: Order your kitchen/bathroom fittings, they are fixing them as of today (beginning of 3rd week into the reno)

3rd weekend: Discuss lighting and electrical points, can start looking/finalising lights.

4th weekend: Finalise paint selection and not sure what's next liao...

Btw, was in a Gain City last week to pay up for my aircon, heard the earliest installation is already mid-July, so do remember to factor that in if you are getting from them.

Hope these helps.

wahahaha, i actually made a mistake! July and June. aiya. since you still got 3 to 4 more weeks. you still got plenty of time now. go and read more lookbox, Home and Decor magazines, roughly get some colour schemes and carpentry ideas. and saliva over all the nice nice ex ex furniture too. btw, i like your white diamond shaped like tiles. looks special. how much it costs?
