Angel81 1 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 Thanks to all for the well wishes Any idea on how to fix my wardrobe? Will really be damp and cause mould ma? It will loh. That time I wanted to do a WIW in front of my toilet. But all 3 contractors/IDs that I talked to, all say that it will be damp and cause mould to grow. In the end, X the idea loh. *WIW dream flew out of the window* How about the wardrobe facing the windows instead? The hollow blocks will be inside, and you can put up open shelves or hooks to hang ur used clothes, keep ur laundry baskets/toiletries, etc. Instead of hollow blocks, I think it's possible to put up enforced partitions behind ur wardrobe to save $$ on doing hollow blocks. One of the forumners, Chronograph, did something like this (if I rem correctly) and tiled the partition. Very nice.
ling3bzr 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 Thanks angel for the suggestion! cuz during our viewing, we saw a similar concept at another place.. dint know will cause so much implications..
Angel81 1 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 Hehe, I actually like ur layout and to have a WIW just outside the toilet. Easy to get stuff before/after bathing. But in view of the mould, I'll rather sacrifice the ease. If not next time wait my clothes got mould and gota throw. hehehe
preciousjam 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 our initial plan was also to change the toilet door and place a partition for a WIW...but then after knowing about the mould problem hai~~~also went out window...instead juz doing a normal wardrobe....
