gaku70 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2009 Blue_diamond: If you already know what you want and the pricing, you can look for George. I got quite a good deal from him as he is able to match the lower prices of other shops. Remember to ask for better ballast (atco) and osram or philips bulbs. Go through with Jason/Uncle to finalise the number of lights and then go and buy. The electricians will install for u. but one thing to NOTE: I suggest you be present at the same time during installation as they may mix up the lights. For kitchen I only plan to decide only after my kitchen cabinets all up. I think rectification works will continue after the carpentry is up, ample time for you to shop fr the stuff then? Just inform uncle/jason, I do think it is not a big issue to get them to install for u.

The thin guy with spectacles is George, he is quite nice. 1) The electrician (Uncle's team) will install the lights and switches for you 2) Actually i ask Uncle to propose the number of downlights, but in the end we reduce 2 more from the living area and it turns out well. If you are getting 2x18, we got at 22 with atco ballasts and osram bulbs. 3) Toilet accessories, need to measure. Especially the wc, do confirm with Uncle before buying. For kitchen, you need to plan where to put the sink, cooker hood and hob. Then buy those that can fit in ..

Extreme lighting is in 371 Balestier rd, near mandalay rd. 1) Usually will ask Uncle's electrical guy to do the installation. 2) Can do your planning and then discuss with electrical guy. If not, bring your floorplan to the shop and they can estimate for you. 3) Kitchen accessories can ask the carpenter to bring their catalogue for you to choose. If not, can check with them the cabinet size and buy in accessories shop. For the toilet, will have to get accessories yourself. Label the items on the wall where you want to install and uncle's man will do it for you.

aubrey 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2009 blue, when u go look at TVs, pls ask them to turn on chan 5/8 for u to watch, not those sample disc nor blu ray disc. im sure u watch free to air more than blu ray dvd right? i can frankly tell u that for all big screens, chan 5/8 quality loses out to my current CRT tv, 29". why? aspect ratio of viewing. the picture from chan 5 is sent in a certain ratio. when u buy 42", u have to resample image to fit that screen. so if u stretch something out, of cos u lose a little quality. LG? i bought the new LG model. model in my sig below. i pick that cos when viewing the sets at courts, even sony bravia with chan 5 looks like ****. in the end i pick one to my budget, and looks decent among all. and pls keep in mind there's a optimum viewing distance for watching TV. the same idea from movies apply here. would u want to watch from first row from screen or middle? so if u think 42" is nice cos its big, pls consider your viewing distance. too many ppl have been buying bigger tvs cos they think its more.. shiok. even i kinda regret getting 42" now, a 40" or 37" will be good enough too. hope this helps.
