Rasp 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2009 Hi Rasp, The laminate looks white in the photo because of the camera flash. Need a tripod to show the real colour. But anyway will be speaking to ID at about 4pm today to see what can be done for both the laminate and the toilet sink. After this experience I would advise you to pick a glossy solid colour laminate for your cabinet. What looks good on the small piece of sample on the catalogue may look drastically different on a bigger piece. Also will be speaking to the ID on the scratch marble floor. The workers were very careless. Saw the electrician just threw his hammer on my laminated floor and my wife scolded him for that. Thanks for the advise. We are thinking real hard whether to use white glossy laminates. Very scare of it turning yellowish in few years time. Yet white seems to be the best option to go with black galaxy top. Do share your ID's comment with us. I am sure she can do something about the sink. But the laminates colour.. i . Aiyo.... how can they throw hammer on your laminated floor.....so rough.. must be very heartpain for your wifey to see it. Must check the area if any scratch / dent. forkie 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2009 Yah the basin have to reposition. I'm sure your ID have to do something coz it really spoil the wall tiles design. I dont mind pple using my new WC but if i see the mess, i will talk to my ID about it ahahaha ! Pretty particular on my stuffs actually. As for my stuffs when the 1st day it came and placed on my floor in bedroom i told my ID that my floor only cost 3k+. Since your guys didnt lay any protection and in the event if the floor is scratched or something, be prepared to ask the Pergo guy to replace and you will be paying ok ? Likewise if my windows are not closed and rain came in, same thing i dont accept my floor to have any form of damages since initially it was installed nicely. If you dont mind paying feel free to carry on Ending phase i will check all stuffs again before i released my last payment ahahaha. So the next day the stuffs are all nicely place on top of corrugated paper. (cardboard nia la)

My console came this afternoon and it looks really good in the white glossy laminate. Too tired now - will post the pictures tomorrow. Complained to my ID on the electrician and the plumber. Will get the sink move to the centre tomorrow.

Fortunately the platform has not been installed yet. ID will be adding some rubber to the windows to make sure they are tight.

sohck 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2009 Updates on Work Done on 27 Jul 2009, Monday Because of the heavy downpour yesterday, the carpentry was not delivered till late afternoon (about 4pm+). As a result, only some lights were installed. The electrician works REALLY SLooooooW. They took a day just to install 4 lights. Looks like they will take at least another day to complete my 16 lights. Here's the first one that was done, fan-cum-light **** area: Without camera flash: (house was pretty dark due to the heavy rain) With camera flash:

sohck 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2009 Close up look of the light: We basically use the same design for the entire house (exception is at cozy corner and those fans with lights). Two bulbs for kitchen and room, one bulb for toilet, kitchen washing area and storeroom, and three bulbs for dining area. There is also a downlight version for the door entrance. sohck 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2009 (edited) There were so much carpentry it took the three carpenters at least half a hour to unload them from the lorry. There were not enough storage space in the house to house the carpentry so they decide to leave it outside the corridor (oh, forget to snap a pictures of those at the corridor). sohck 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2009 Sliding door for Bedroom 3 wardrobe (that's for me). Don't quite like it, think it might be nicer if the strip is higher - maybe it is the choice of the laminate
sohck 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2009 Main door (external view) It looks differently from inside. Because the door was modified with laminate, we have the luxury of making it looks difference both side,
sohck 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2009 The side cabinet at Kitchen. This is mainly to cover the ugly pipes as well as providing storage space for my cleaning equipments: broom, mop, vaccum cleaner and iRobot. Due to the award angle we have to have a door that looks like bi-fold.
