i am also considering zebrano for our laminate flooring, can't wait to see your pics when it's laid.

Hey alamak,

I was at my house this morning and Supreme has started laying the Zebrano laminate for the master bedroom. When I left at 10.30am it was already half done.

All I can say is that it is very nice - in fact nicer than what we had expected. We thought zebrano is going to make the room very dark, but it turns out to be a very good contrast with our creamy white wall. We have just decided to put on the same laminate for our cozy corner at the living area.

Will put up the pictures as soon as I get a chance to go to the flat again (schedule date is next Thursday, to receive the goods for toilet and accessories).

Hi beany0811, you are very right. The tiling was so slow we thought it is going to take forever to get our reno done. But once the tiling is completed, everything happened so fast - picked the paint colour on Sunday, and painting is done on Tuesday. Electrical and plumbing done on Wednesday, washing on Thursday and now the laminate.

Can't wait to have everything done.

How are things on your side?

hi sohck, we are also doing tiling now, think its about..... 80% complete?

balcony area and areas damaged by removal of door frames not done.

false ceiling also in progress.

our new window panes are up, minus the grills - think that will be put up only later.

just met our ID this morn for an urgent last min meeting (had to take am leave) - realised the work area in our kitchen was too small, and asked to have the mortar base of the fridge moved out to increase the effective working space. felt abit bad, cos the tilers had already laid the tiles surrounding the mortar base. lucky they haven't started tiling the base.

we also called jestac to ask about 3m solar film for our west facing living and dining room windows - the lady, serene will be meeting us tmr @ the unit to take measurements, show us samples, then give us quotation.

will post pics and update on the meeting tmr :)

Hey beany0811,

The ceiling quite low right? You still doing false ceiling? My ceiling is only about 2.45m so I gave up the idea of false ceiling and L-box. What's yours?

I have yet to speak with Jestac. Could you let me know the price after you get the quote? My ID got kangtao can do the whole house windows for about $200 (also using car solar film), but I want to check out the more established brand first.

hey, thanks a lot. looking forward to your pics.

my early plan was to do something dark e.g walnut, as intending to paint my MBR with dark colors. that's why considering using zebrano to lighten things up. :D

no prob, will let you know tmr after our meeting. i asked her the price range, serene said its $6-$14/psf depending on the type, reflective kind, etc.

she will bring samples and show us tmr too.

ceiling wise... we din measure ourselves, but according to ID, its about 2.54m.

Wow, you ceiling's much higher than mine. According to one of the ID I spoke to, the minimum false ceiling is 6 inch (15cm). So you can afford to have a false ceiling and 2.39m "air-space". Really envy you - without the false ceiling my cables are all over the place. Take picture and show you later.

ha, don't envy us too much. some parts of our house has low ceiling of 2.1m to cover the irritating beams. I'll watch your thread for the pictures :)
