For laminate, there are Lam Chuan, Seng Lee, Evershine etc which has the less than $20/- solid colour laminate. It is not easy to apply the glue and to paste the laminate. In Industrial practice, we normally dumped away incorrect fabrication to save cost unless its a minor problem.

gladyslim 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2009 The dim ension of high pressure laminate is normally 1220mm x 2440m x 0.7mm thk. Higher price for thickness of 0.8mm & 1mmthk , special colour and the special print like birdseye or the s/s hairline finishing which cost not less than $100/- a pc. There are soft laminate in 0.5mm thk that can wrap round edges whereby you buy in per ft run. Seng Lee or Lam Chuan's quality is not bad.

You can order at retailing hardware shop. Flexi-laminate does not have the plastic lamination, it can be rolled up before pasting onto wood, just like pasting wall paper. I think only jenings carry this, it is called '软皮‘ Pasting of laminates is not easy for both thin or thick sheets. For the high plastic laminate, you hold onto the top & bottom portion bending it little when pasting it onto the wood. Best to place a pc of unglue laminate in between the two pcs so that you can align it better and to reduce more air traps.
