pinkpetter 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2009 Mimi.. 17ft is not very long... 17ft is only about 5m. Mine is already 21ft whilst I do bottom only. I think yours is really 17ft top and 17ft bottom. I find the quote slightly on the high side and some things very confusing...
jaskel 2 Report post Posted May 12, 2009 Thanks all for e concern .I manage to talk to ah soon. He say will call me when he a free. I think ah huatt or alan really quote too high. A mirror cost 150? For workmanship.we told him we have a budget yet he still quote me like those I'd.my kitchen cabinet is only 17 feet, cannot be 34feet cos it hdb. Mimi, u need to clarify with Uncle Ah Soon on the kitchen cabinet...it is top 17ft & bottom 17ft or just bottom 17ft or top 8.5ft & bottom 8.5ft only. mrspiglet 2 Report post Posted May 12, 2009 ya mimi, agreed w Pet that 17 ft is not too long. Mine is the newer HDB n its already 14ft in length. So total top+bottom is 28ft. If yours is top+bottom, it should be considered as 34ft, which comes up to $100pft.. i think this rate is reasonably cheap. But agree with her too, that ur quotation is a little confusing. Items seems to be 'jumping' here n there. I think its safer to check it out with Uncle personally.

I did not get him to do my house because his quote was higher than Uncle's quote. However, his overall carpentry pricing, etc is very reasonable. Nearly signed up with him (as mentioned in my blog) if not for Uncle's appearance.
