booy 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2009 Mine ia slao a L shape wardrobe too...not sure where i saw in someone thread that mentioned ah wei cant do the mirror door?was hoping to have some 1 side of full mirror door.... Ah Wei is doing full mirror doors for me.. But because full mirror door is fragile, esp. the opening and closing can cause potential danger for clumsy users like me.. So he suggested to add two metal strips across to support it..

bodo 2 Report post Posted June 22, 2009 Mistake after mistake! Previously, they hacked my wall tiles wrongly......... I decided to make things easy for them. Now they hacked my staircase skirting wrongly again! Alan offered to replace my laminate wood skirting or normal skirting back. How can just replace normal skirting since the colour will be different from the normal staircase tiles already? This time round I am really angry
familyof4 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2009 insist on what u ought to have since it is their fault, not yours! they made the mistake, they need to return u the wooden skirting u ought to have! hmm...why they so blur ne?

Yup, second time I not gonna be so chin chye anymore! Dunno why for my hse, so many mistakes............ I told Alan to replace the skirting and the staircase flooring. Not gonna accept it as the colour will be different if they don't change the staircase flooring as well.
bodo 2 Report post Posted June 22, 2009 alan called to 'negotiate'. he asked me to accept just changing the skirting tiles only as it will be 95 per cent similar to the original tiles. secondly, he said even 'professional' tilers cant tell the difference...... omg, when contractors want you to change flooring if you do hacking, they tell you it won't be nice to just replace back the same tiles as it's from different batches. when they are footing the costs, they tell u nobody can tell the difference, even professional! what rubbish logic is it???????? bodo 2 Report post Posted June 24, 2009 Updates on reno : Not much has been done except the electricity. Officially, it's not possible to ho by 30 June. Alan passed me a similar tile as skirting for my staircase. Not decided yet......... I will discuss with my wtb tonite before reaching any conclusion. familyof4 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2009 try matching the tile that was provided to u with the existing ones under different lights and see if u can tell the difference. If both u and pridilaw can accept, good. If not...try and reach mutual agreement ba...sigh... when is the carpentry supposed to be up?

Not sure why no one come in to support. I support you! I think uncle soon team seriously have problem with handover dates. Guess you really got to chase for it. If its really their fault, do perserve and fight for your rights. I read some blog and find that most owners are faced with situations that they just don't want to fight anymore as they see no hope/ lights and just want to end the whole thing. But the thing is.. the renovator just leave after the reno, its you and family that are the ones having to face those day in and day out after you shift in. Jia You~!!! And wish you best of luck too~~

pridilaw 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) dear friends, I know renovation is a very stressful process (if not, u guys won't be discussing about stuff so often..hehe) Therefore, I will propose that we take our minds off the inanimate hollow blocks, lightings, laminate and paint colour for a while. Please enjoy some photos of our little bundle of joy, Bella. She's the centre of our lives (besides our house which is on reno now, of course ) Edited June 24, 2009 by pridilaw
