Both me and hubby are notstrict follower of fengshui, until something 'unlucky' situation occur lasted for a year which associated with wrong placement of bed. Therefore we been worry about about the placement of new bed after our reno this yr end. Appreciate if you can help us on this. Part of my masterbed room used to be a kitchen. Even though its has been reconstructed into a bedroom, i wonder is it okay to sleep there now? The unit above and below are kitchen as well. This is how it looks like. My Original floorplan. According to our Kua (Mine is #4, hubby is #9) and Kua of House (face south), we have avoided placing bed on the west wall as we both suffered the effects of bad lucky already (previously). Is it okay to play the bed on the east wall after the reno? Current our bed is against the south wall, but space planning is really restricted if we continue to adopt that. Oic thanks for pointing out.. Thought zi wei dou shu can be correlated to FS. So what kinda of FS talks u r organising, maybe i cld drop by one of these days when i'm off work. Sam Lee Poh Huat 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2009 Vincent koh is good for basic theory feng shui lesson. learning feng shui is not easy, 90% of the people give up eventually. picking up the theory is easy, but pratical. will need many years of practise or at least have a master guide you or show you while he do feng shui. if you intend to learn feng shui from books or magazine... and if every page is about buying products. you can burn those books... hi GPP, So what r the kinda of FS books/mag u wld recommend to novices like me.? I am sorry, I cant comment because nothing can be commented unless a accurate compass reading is taken, moreover it is not just the internal of the house that affects the feng shui in your house, also external things like roads and other buildings, so observation is required... for Proper classical fengshui, we cant comment based on just floor plan. But Is it the same if the kitchen has been converted into a room, the stove is no long there? It is best not to have any mirrors in the house, but then again, it is not pratical, if possible use the ones that can be hidden in wardrobes. Mirrors reflects energy. it reflects good or bad energy at the opposite end, depending on the month, every month energies changes. It make the space have unpure energies. If you have mirrors infront of your bed, most likely you and your spouse argue often. this one has been found to be consistant. sometimes even tv have reflection, its good to cover it when not in use if it face your bed. I have not heard about this before, its unique, i believe the energy of your house will depends on your house feng shui, it has got nothing to do with upstairs or downstairs. unless it is an opening. in feng shui we talk about opening for QI and the flow of QI, if it dosent flow between the 2 unit, it should not affect you. but... why sleep in the kitchen? you have so many rooms... Hahaha, it so happen the previous owner constructed it this way. and as you can see.. its the MBR... i really cannot convince to give up such a Big MBR to sleep in the other bedroom. My house is combination of 2 three-room flat. it has 4 bed rooms, 2 living room combined to 1. and 2 kitchens. We almost had 2 more utility rooms during upgrading, luckily this blocks has alot of old folks all vote against it. if not we have 6 rooms!! one of the kitchen was almost turned to a bedroom because the feng shui is very good there. but in the end that kitchen became our laundry room and walk in closet. haha. we still had other rooms with good fengshui.
