I thinking of looking for a carpenter to do a feature wall like this. Any idea roughly how much this will cost me?

Also if there are any good carpenters to recommend who can do this, i would very much appreciate it. Thanks!

Can you kindly share with me what kind of materials i should be considering based on the picture above?

That was a very nice and classy design actually.

Estimation ..

this is based on my own quote, not necessarily the same.

feature wall's $220/ft

console's $120/ft

let's say the main bulk area is 7ft, that would be (220+120) x 7 = $2380.

That raised platform and the 2 L shape extensions ... some might charge you full feet for those.

imagine those were like 4 feet, it's almost another $1000 which is grossly unfair for that bit.

Materials you will be looking at would be solid plywood wood and laminates,

Those lights that you see, costs extra too, cost of the light itself and the lighting point. And of course the flower vase and pebbles if you want to achieve the same look.

should be around $2.5k if using laminates. laminates also easier to wipe.

the 2 spot lights above the vase.... will be charged seperately by the electrician.. $30/pt..

i ask my carpenter for your design, he say for standard 8ftH HDB flat, your cabinet c/w tv feature wall esti 7ftL $1365, ur that platform with 2 L-shape ledge $420..

i also want to make a feature wall, can roughly estimate the price for me if i use mirror for the console and wood for the rest? my contractor's quote seems reasonable but i'm not sure

my wall is 8 ft high and 6 ft long according to him. then he told me the price for the tv console is 150 but add mirror is 180 to cover the whole console. then the feature wall is around 1200 to do

but he also mentioned that he can give me 10% discount.

what do you think? thanks
