Bon07 & Ling02's Dream Home

Recommended Posts

Hi All!

After 4 unsuccessful ballots for a new flat, I finally managed to convince my wifey to go for a resale flat and we found our dream unit at Kim Tian early January this year.

We love that place cos it has an unblock view of Mount Faber right in front of our balcony on the 20+ floor, with Henderson Waves on the right and CBD view on the left. The 6 year-old unit is very well-maintained with full length windows at the balcony. Pretty excited to collect our keys on the 11th June!

Our floorplan:

But right now, both of us are suffering from pre-reno blues after talking to quite a number of IDs. It is either a case of too cheap a quote and we worry about the quality, or too high a quote and we scared we are overcharged. This unit is a 100% move-in condition but being our first home, we wanna do some reno which actually is very wasteful. Will post some pics in our next post :)

Anyway, have been surfing this forum for the past few nights till the wee hours and now even more headache! Hehe. Pretty addictive looking at all the t-blogs too.

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

:) Your description of your view brought a smile to my face. I can imagine how serene and beautiful it must look. And to think the flat is only 6 years old! :)

It does seem like you are suffering from the same addiction as I do. haha

WELCOME!

Right before I go overseas for a few days, here are some pics we took :)

Living Room - We like that its longggg with the balcony at the end...

Balcony with parquet raised platform - Forgot to take pics of the view outside...shucks...cannot see Henderson Waves from this pic...this corner has an "uglier" view, according to the current owner, hence he changed the tv point to the opposite wall as the other corner has view of the PSA and CBD...

@pinkpetter: We viewed several units after seeing this unit and we just could not forget the view....so it was actually a sealed deal the moment we stepped on the raised platform...hehe

I saw two pics and the apartment looked a pretty good buy already!

Seems like you can save quite a bit since the core fundamentals are already in place - just need to devote some resources towards having some "standout" features to make your place distinctively yours.

You have a good thing going already, that's for sure. cool stuff.

nice! looks like its very well maintained!

congrats, and looking forward for more pictures.

yeah man! Is def a good buy cos we bot it below valuation. :) Mostly are well-maintained but there are quite a number of cracks. Gonna do plastering for the affected walls.

Hmm..we wont be hacking the floor tiles xcept the 2 washrms where everything will and must go! haha! My hotel- themed washrm (MBR)!!

We are in kinda of dilemma which contractor to engage wor..cos we are doing quite a number of carpentry wrks..

Any id/contractor to recommend? :P

Congrats on the new place!

Very nice as it is and I guess the view is always something nice to come back to and gaze at when the day's done.

I'm sure the place will look even better after your reno.

All the best!
