I contacted a tiling contractor for my resale 5rm kitchen + 2 toilets + balcony. 2 toilets are hacking all and lay new tiles floor and wall. Kitchen + service balcony flooring is overlay, wall are doing cement plaster smooth over old tiles. meaning no wall tiles at kitchen. labour to hack off 2 toilets door and service balcony door. labour to hack off kitchen cabinet Balcony overlay new tiles. labour to install basin, toilet bowl + toilet accessories. total cost is 6.1K.labour +tiles is it reasonable? Supersimon27 2 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 Think you need to confirm the pricing of tile they give you. eg, 2.80/sqf tile or 3.50/sqf ... etc etc. Cos some contractor can quote you cheap cheap but limited yr tile price selection. Then in the end you might need to top alot. Better to get it all black and white. For my case, when doing the quotation , my contractor already tell me my tile price and if i want to upgrade I got to pay the different. feel it's better that way . For my case, when doing the quotation , my contractor already tell me my tile price and if i want to upgrade I got to pay the different. feel it's better that way . thats very true.. their "include tile" are cuff to a certain price, usually not very nice tiles type of price. if you choose something else, it will be plus plus plus.. its better to just get their quote for tiling works less tiles. you pay for tiles you like. and if main con go with you and buy got 10-15% descount too.. if you wan, pm me for my main con contacts. his quotation is very reasonable and definitely no plus plus plus..
