ena_lee 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2009 Hi, I need advice on the placement of aircon just above the door of my Master bedroom. On the left side of the door is a wall with a long wardrobe placed against the wall. The right side of the door is a toilet. There is a passage way flanked by the wardrode and toilet where the air con is blowing. When I walked further into the bedroom and on the right hand side, my bed is just behind the toilet wall. If I place the air con above the door, will cold air be able to reach the bed which is hidden behind the wall on the right hand side of the room. Plse email me and I could send U the diagram of my room if the description above is not clear. For your kind advice plse
yoongf 11 Report post Posted April 21, 2009 Sounds like your room is the typical hotel room setup where there is a narrow passageway before it opens up to the squarish room. Placing the AC above the door will not be good idea, as when u lie on the bed, the AC remote cannot aim at the AC. Normally, is to lower the ceiling at the passageway, and where the passageway opens up to the room, there is a vertical wall( false beam ) to mount the AC.
