what is the best floor tiles colour to match with glossy white wall/laminate?

Shortlisted diff tones of grey for my kitchen to toilets.

Is it too much? Major white of course.

can someone share their toilet floor tiles type?

*headache headache big headache* very tiring to stand so long too!

For me, i prefer contrast. for example, white wall then the flooring will be in a darker colour. For mine, my floor tiles are grey.

We didn't go up to 2nd storey. Those within price range already on 1st floor.

I must say Jeffrey's service is excellent. We thought Henry is lucky to find him but Jeffrey told us we are lucky to find Henry instead! Was told Henry sets very high standards on service and quality - even on his counterparts!

So relieved to hear this :)

Contrast is good....HTB is freaked out at the amt of grey considered. Think we lived in the old school hdb theme for WAY TOO LONG! Hee

Meeting the Neighbours

We are almost ready for the hacking on Monday.

One step lacking - meet the neighbours, inform them and say hi officially.

Our contractor - Henry has prepared a mini renovation notice with his contacts for affected neighbours.

We bought bags of biscuits for all neighbours on the same floor and directly below/above us.

The neighbours are really nice and very surprised at our little gesture.

At first they thought we were salesman :x

Anyway, this is a recommended move/gesture. Hope this small little effort goes a long way! =)

Choosing Tiles

Henry's assistant is Jeffrey from Hup Kiong. A top notch service sales mgr - wakzool will 2nd this too!

Although Hup Kiong is a rare among the latest home owners undergoing reno, it is quite a established company well known in big projects and in particular country & rustic style.

They have new tiles imported but I was a little skeptical and requested to visit Hafary too - Both @ Defu Lane.

Jeffrey picked us up personally, spent 4 over hours explaining and matching colours (white/grey/blue theme) for the following tiles:

- Living/Dining Floor

- Kitchen Floor

- Common Toilet Floor

- MBR Wall & Floor

We thought it was going to be a easy task but nope! Lots of knowledge required!!!

1) If it is a floor tile, always request to place it on the floor

2) Feel free to step all over with your bare feet

3) Ask about quality

4) Ask about stain maintenance

5) Contrast with wall/laminate colour

Despite being a Hup Kiong sales, he drove us to Surface (subsi of Hafary) and even waited for us until we are done!

Being too tired and experienced, we made it snappy in less than 2 hrs.

Round 2 after 1 day of rest was somehow necessary because we wanted to pick alternative for white/cream theme.

This time round, we brought laminate and solid surface catalogs to match our floor tiles. It was SO helpful and we were so glad that it was a fruitful trip.

Here are the tiles (what I can find in Hafary - I can also find it at Hup Kiong - No issue @ all!)

This set is confirmed.

Will be deciding over Combo A or B after visiting EDL this weekend with the sample tiles

It will be a fight between cream/wood or grey/white kitchen!

Tile C is a very nice but very expensive grey tone from Hafary - Yikes!

Question: anyone has a kitchen HIGHER than your living room? Hope my kitchen doesn't flood!
