Bon07 1 Report post Posted June 10, 2009 Plans changed over last week... My FIL passed on after fighting in the icu for 3 days... It was hard for all of us, especially my MIL, whom the two of them were very close. With the help of the relatives and friends, we were glad things are more or less settled now, and all of us are moving on with our lives. I missed his 'lou bah', bak kut teh, sambal kangkong, fried noodles...... And his voice.... he would always come home and kept calling for Baby (the doggie) until Baby responded with a bark. Next week is the key collection but the excitement's gone... my condolences to you and your family....

Marcussy 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2009 Sorry to hear that Spoiltbabe, hope all is well now. I was reading through the blog and realised that you got the unit that I was eyeing previously! But I was too late, when I called the agent said that it has been sold liao, so it was to you. Just to let you know that I have also gotten a unit at Tenteram, if all goes well will be collecting keys in late July or early Aug. It's also a move-in condition unit. Will share more when everything is settled..Cheers

We will not do any renovation, just going to give it a fresh coat of paint, buy the furniture and appliances thats all. When do you plan to shift in?

When you mentioned that your spotted a few knocks on the wall, erm...what do you mean? Also what must i check when inspecting the house? We are totally clueless. i am quite careless when comes to all these too... Din find anything wrong until my hubby brought up some issues: - - wall paint came off in the MBR (we suspected the bed frame knocked against the wall when they shifted it out) - lightings not working for most of the lightings (we did a transfer in power supply hence lightings should all be okay) Other details you may want to take note: - - Try ALL the keys being handover to you, ensure all locks have the access key (even for window grilles, letterbox) - flooring, any deep, visible scratches which wasnt there when you went for viewing (if you are hacking the floor then this doesnt matter) - aircon, any leakage

But what have they done that most of the lights not working? They've been living in darkness? aircon leakage...hmm...if changing aircon, so doesn't matter also right? By the way, letter box lock can change anot? where to buy the locks?
skyblue 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 wow. that's alot of damage. ..... By the way, letter box lock can change anot? where to buy the locks? Hi dyleen, just happen to see your question. You can always call your town council for the "Handyman Services", which they quote a standard price of $21.40 (with GST). They will get the "handyman" to replace your letter box lock. I got mine changed a few months back through my town council website, so you need to check which town council your flat belongs to and call them up. Click HERE to check the website address.
