sohck 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2009 now I SO GIAN To buy this sharp oven...fits into the compartment too! Wahhh thrilled! The old model no more liao. The new one incorporate a microwave oven and is made in China. It has a bigger capacity and smaller wattage, so food is cook slower. That's why we went high and low to search for the older model instead of settling on the new one.

Rasp 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 Hi Rasp, where did you get your sanitary fiitings? Hi Mac_oasis, I pm you the shop name, you can go and have a look. I have not receive my loots yet, so don't dare to recommend first. We are taking a risk not buying from those forum-recommended ones.
Rasp 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 Going with my wife in early August. She is travelling now. Hi Sohck, I heard from those sale assistants that the cooking lesson is only for 1 pax. You might want to call them up to check check.
Rasp 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 Ya the similar one is panasonic! The price @ Best Denki $1599...OMG! For your sharp oven, any temperature control? I was considering Rowenta baking oven. But I also want to get a microwave oven. Considering all-in-one types. now I SO GIAN To buy this sharp oven...fits into the compartment too! Wahhh thrilled! Oh how do i differentiate old and new model? Hihi XBB, We went to play with the display set before we made our purchase. I am not very sure about the temperature control but when i meddle with the display set, the round knob can turn the temperature under baking mode. Hee.. you can go and play with it first. Btw, is the width of your tall cabinet 60cm? I thinking how much to assign for the tall cabinet. About the old and new model, they have different model numbers. So its quite convenience to differentiate it.

Yah, I think most of the shops have phased out the old model. I ever saw the bishan best denki cutting the prices to push it out like warehouse sales as the exhibition area. Most of the shop tell me that the new model is made in Thailand. Hasnt hear of China yet. Hee.. the bigger capacity and smaller watt was what we like too. Can cook more things at the same time, such as bake 2 trays of muffins at the same time. And yet the electricity consumption is lower.

Rasp 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 Hee.. some updates on my reno.. The 2 of us got up 7 early 8early yesterday morning and took a cab back to our place to finish up the final wrapping and for Hb to perform the symbolic hack before he report for work. Hee.. the night before (tues night), we also stayed til past midnight to finish up the covering. In case you are wondering what's the wrapping / covering about, we have quite a number of furnitures that we have to put there during our reno, so got to do some protection for them. Tiring tiring~~ Poor hb still got to work. Luckily I managed to take leave. The hacking guys came at 930am and started to lay the papers first. Actually I was quite surprised to see them laying the floor protection as we are polishing the marble at the later stage. So I thought most contractors will just leave the floor expose since polishing will be up later. Hee.. didn't expect Henry to arrange for such protection. Really . Hee.. Oh, and about the tiles confirmation, hb phoned Henry on Tues and the dateline to confirm the tiles was pushed to Thurs (which is today) instead of Mon/Tues. Hee.. don't know how my hb did it, but he told me Henry is cool about it. Phew! Finally can catch some breath... at the same time, hb also went to get the EDL catalog from Henry on Tues. So now got the Lamitak & EDL catalog to browse through. Discussed the tiles and laminates with hb last night, most prolly we will kept the tiles selection intact, meaning the tiles backing at the kitchen cabinet to remain same as the rest of the other walls. Hee.. too stress on Mon, I forgot to mention that Henry also pasted the reno notice on the outside wall on Sun as well as passed a stack of 'phamplet' to Hb. He had helped us print out the note to our neighbours to inform them of our impeding reno. Hee.. very ... the note is 1/3 size of the A4 size paper, he also help to cut them already. We were so busy and being 1st time reno that we totally forgot about this. Luckily, he took the initiative to help us on it. Im uploading the pics. Will share some pics in the next post.
