Bon07 1 Report post Posted May 19, 2009 Mine is laminate. Non-black laminate joint lines are like that one lor. I don't mind lah knowing the limitation of laminates. But my wife did complained to the contractor. Not sure what will he do. itz certainly not obvious in the photos, that's why i tot urs is using those super high gloss white veneer. another forummer ask his/her ID to fix the black lines and they say they can paint over it but it cost quite a lot. But i dunno how the effect will be like....

ocheeeng 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2009 (edited) Recently there was a discussion in other tblog that Nippon paint 3-in-1 Medifresh is difficult to touch-up and will cause the touched-up areas to stand out. In general, this problem is common for paint with sheen finish (i.e. easywash, medifresh, vinyl silk) compared to matt finish (all-in-one, vinilex 5000). Over time, the touched-up areas will become the same with other areas. So not a problem lah... Edited May 23, 2009 by ocheeeng

They charge flat rate for painting, they want you to choose the cheap paint, so they give all kinds of bad comments on the expensive ones like easywash and medifresh. Hopefully, what I wrote can remove the reservation that some forumers have over the paints with sheen finish btw, nippon all-in-one is matt finish and not cheap too. Of course, I think some contractors may ask for top-up if we choose those expensive types Edited May 24, 2009 by ocheeeng
Cloyn 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2009 The price already set to their benefit, still got profit no matter what type of paint you choose. Those who choose cheap paint, they earn more, choose expensive paint, they earn slightly less. If you compare the price of vinilex and medifresh, doesn't cost an extra hand or foot. Those who ask for top-up are very calculative, I would skip them immediately. Who knows how much extra they will charge for your other things?
