pinkiedreamy 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2009 I'm meeting my ID tonight. looking at our floorplan, 1. My kitchen entrance is 2.2m We dun normally cook. If yes, will be steaming/ stir fry/bake/ boil. Do you think I should do up a glass sliding door? My contractor quoted me $1.3k for that glass door. 2. After much thought, we decided not to have aircon in living room. cos I want a false ceiling in living room, and with aircon, means there's a hole at the false ceiling near the wall (just for aircon) don't seem to look nice. Anyway, i can always have a ceiling fan. Cooling enough? cos never have a ceiling fan at home before. 3. I know ceiling fan must be on original ceiling. Then those hanging lights for the dining area, is it okie to hang from false ceiling? Will it be too low? 4. MOST IMPT!!! This ID is a sub company my contractor recommend. He will be doing our carpentry work. Usually they will ask what's our budget. I will get him do... - feature wall for TV - TV console (still deciding - is it cheapr to buy (then it will not be suspended) or get him to custom build(will suspend it)) - shoe cabinet - 2 x Toilet vanity - study room suspended table and book shelves. How much budget should i give him? This excludes wet work. Our kitchen and WIW will probably give to Closet Design.
Rasp 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2009 (edited) Hi Pinkiedreamy, Read that you intend to do a pole system for your wardrobe. We have done our with Alumix roughly 1yr ago. Quite good. The pole can be disassemble and reassemble back. So we are considering going back to them to add an extra unit after our reno. You might want to consider them as well. http://www.alumix.com/ Edited April 27, 2009 by Rasp

You might want to consider them as well. http://www.alumix.com/ We already took a package with Closet Design. Closet Design also mentioned that in future, when we move house, we can dismantle and bring the whole thing over to the new place. Of cos, without the partition wall and door =) So we find this rather good. At least the money spent can be "reused". unlike most built in wardrobe, which is not movable. Anyway thanks. Will still go check out Alumix for my bedroom 3 wardrobe

mrspiglet 2 Report post Posted April 28, 2009 shld be included. =) check with you, does Ah Soon do up any exact drawings of 2D/ 3D? hihi! not pinkpetter, but to ans ur qn, they do hand-drawn 3D sketches. I suggest that u can look ard for the designs that u want, relate to your contractor and see if they drawn something out for u. I know most experienced contractors will be able to do that. One thing to note abt the trousers hanger for ur wardrobe, must take ur longest pants to measure wat is the height allowance u need from the floor. I did not had any prior experience and left it all to the designer, so scare my hub's long long pants will sweep the floor. Heng that is was just nice..
