Isn't everything already published? All the procedures, that is.

I believe it would be easier to learn if it is more interactive...

Like learning in schools when we are younger, even all the text books are already published out there, the best method is still through teacher right?

i went for the resale seminar.. agreed with rendell..it is easier to learn through the seminar..and if you got any questions can always ask on the spot..

i attended the seminar last yr. very informative and pack with info. of course it spends a lot of explaining the HDB regulation, different scheme available, grants available, eligibility for both seller & buyer. they provide notes on different scheme, the buyer checklist & option to purchase form for ref too. different topics presented by different HDB officers and also cpf officer. (on financial planing and calculation). u can also clarify you doubt during the seminar.

however, like one of the presenter said, he himself transacted thru' agents when he bought his house, 'cos some agents wanted to deal with agents only intead of direct buyers to earn comm. (co-broke), this will limit the availabilty of seller to DIY buyer. after few mths of searching, most DIY buyers will give up and go thru' agents instead.

happy searching for house!

is there any local property website listing properties for and by DIY sellers and buyers? It would be another great source of alternative. Anyone, any idea to provide the link? thanks

thanks for the link.

has anyone used this DIYHDB website's services before? they do charge a fee to use their website though...any comments on how useful or workable thru' this site?

hi cruise, are u referring to this link http://www2.realink21.com/npp2/PL_HDB.aspx from HDB website?

This website is actually not hosted by HDB, they already stated their disclaimer. Most of the listed houses here are put up by agents. I found my agent thru this site as well, n i understand from him sometimes, agents will just put a dummy ad to attract buyers to call up. Unless knowing the other party is an agent too, they will not reveal if that unit is actually a dummy unit. :)
